When you get the chance to visit an aircraft carrier, you grab it. The first time we had this opportunity, Gert Trachez and Kris Christiaens were delighted to visit the Spanish aircraft carrier and assault ship Juan Carlos I (Primero). In this 108-page book, we present a portrait of the action aboard the ship, on the flight deck, and in the submarine. The flights featured here include EAV-8B Harriers, Sea Kings, Chinooks, Cougars, and even V-22 Ospreys. We also show the ship's protection, the island, and the assault ships transporting military vehicles ashore. To conclude, we offer a tour of Rota, the ship's home base and the squadrons that took off from it.
