HMH PUBLICATIONS 018 Duke Hawkins Dassault/Dornier Alpha Jet (English)

The Alpha Jet is a jet trainer that appears to have remained unchanged, even though it first flew fifty years ago. For this 116-page book, we visited the maintenance hangars at Beauvechain Air Base in Belgium and Cazaux Air Base near Bordeaux. Every part of the aircraft is showcased, including the various ejection seats used, the wings, and the offset nose landing gear, which allows for the ventral gunner's pod. The aircraft featured include those from Belgium, Germany, France, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Thailand, and Morocco. We also look at aircraft flying with the famous Patrouille de France.
