The Blackburn Buccaneer is one of those quintessential British aircraft that proved more versatile and effective than initially anticipated. Extremely stable at high speeds and very low altitudes, for both the Fleet Air Arm and the Royal Air Force, it achieved the fame it deserved towards the end of its career. During the first Gulf War, the few Blackburn Buccaneers deployed became valuable assets for other aircraft, enabling them to destroy targets with precision weapons.
